Product Description

• The aluminum anodes we provide protect steel structures from corrosion in seawater. They are widely used for corrosion prevention in ship hulls, ballast tanks, seawater pipelines, port and dock facilities, marine engineering, drilling platforms, condensers, and pipelines in soil environments.
• The performance of aluminum anodes is affected by the chemical composition of the alloy. We offer various alloy compositions to meet customer requirements and can also manufacture anodes in special specifications according to clients needs.
• Our aluminum anodes feature extremely high electrochemical performance. The current output per unit weight is about three times that of zinc anodes and twice that of magnesium anodes. They perform well in seawater and other chloride-containing media, with strong self-adjusting ability for current output.
• Aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes are used for cathodic protection to prevent corrosion of metals in ships, mechanical equipment, marine engineering and harbor facilities in seawater, as well as pipelines, cables and other facilities in marine mud. Cathodic protection systems suitable for most metallic equipment in seawater or internal bottom plates of crude oil storage tanks are not applicable to soil environments with low chloride ion content. The electrode potential of aluminum sacrificial anodes is -1.05 V. When the ambient temperature exceeds 49 °C, the electric capacity of aluminum sacrificial anodes decreases with rising temperature, which can be calculated by the formula:Z = 2500 − 27(T − 20)where T is the operating temperature of the anode in °C. In brackish water environments, the current capacity of aluminum sacrificial anodes may be reduced by half. Aluminum sacrificial anodes can be directly fixed to the equipment or structure to be protected without any additional filling material.
